Sociologist of Education and educationalist in jails, she teaches at the University of Florence. Besides the publicistic activity in sociology of education and of education in jails, Gianna Maschiti carries on since many years her work of educator in the jail of Florence both in the semi-liberty section and in Sollicciano in the female section. This experience made her a privileged observer and interpreter of the difficulties of feeling integrated and of the various forms of conflict and discomfort which often explode in a condition of marginality. Her work has in itself a projectual effort aimed to create broken or never existed links between individuals and forms of sociality more and more disqualifying. |
